Fare Share Cymru redistribute surplus food to charities that turn it into meals for vulnerable people, and are looking for volunteers at their new Redistribution Kitchen Wales based at Cardiff and Vale College in Cardiff City Centre.
As a volunteer, you’ll help out with the preparation of meals made from surplus food that will be distributed to various community groups across South Wales. You’ll gain experience in a professional kitchen environment, and get the chance to sharpen your knife and cooking skills.
Return volunteers have the opportunity to obtain a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification and a work reference for future employment.
Volunteer shifts run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2.30-5.30pm or 5.30-8pm.
