The FOR Cardiff team is growing and we have a vacancy for an additional Project Support Officer. The successful candidate will assist the team in the delivery of a variety of our exciting projects including the City of Arcades, the Equality City, and the Women’s Safety Network. If you have admin experience and are looking for a way to make a positive impact on the city then this could be the job for you.

 Responsible to: Associate Director

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (very occasional evening work may be required)

Based: FOR Cardiff offices, 7 St. Andrew’s Crescent, Cardiff, CF10 3DA

Salary: £22,500 + KPI linked bonus of up to 4% of salary

Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

Job purpose: The Project Support Officer will help ensure the smooth running of FOR Cardiff by assisting with the administrative elements the delivery of a variety of projects with a particular emphasis on our safety, marketing and events initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of a variety of FOR Cardiff projects where required but not limited to event and general venue bookings and management of RSVPs, managing the administration of offers made by businesses for our The Card scheme as well as our work on making Cardiff an Equality City, charter sign ups, and Safe Places administration.
  • To undertake updates to the company’s website and support with our social media channel content
  • Recording activity on our activity database Solomon
  • Administration tasks related to the sound management of the company including minute taking at relevant meetings such as the Women’s Safety Network, processing mailouts and other paperwork where required
  • Supporting the team with the management of external events where necessary including the Annual Showcase, City of Arcades and other programmed activity
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with FOR Cardiff members, suppliers, and other key stakeholders where required


Skills and attributes


  • Considerable experience in an administrative / project support role or similar environment
  • Computer literate and able to adapt to new software
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to take notes effectively which can be turned into accurate minutes and notes of meetings
  • Able to handle conflicting priorities and react quickly to incoming assignments
  • High standard of written English


  • Experience of marketing, events and safety projects / initiatives
  • Experience of working in a project management workplace
  • Ability to communicate in Welsh
