The Wallich – Businesses Reaching out to Rough Sleepers

The Wallich – Businesses Reaching out to Rough Sleepers

The Wallich, Wales’s leading homelessness charity, works directly with people sleeping rough and those who are vulnerably housed. The Wallich’s expert staff work tirelessly to get people off the streets, keep people off the streets and provide opportunities for people to end the cycle of homelessness for good.

In Cardiff, homelessness is increasing. The Wallich operates diverse projects in the nation’s capital including its Rough Sleeper Intervention Team, offering much-needed provisions, advice, support and access to help through a dedicated outreach service.

FOR Cardiff members are invited to a short training session on the 2nd March 6-7.30pm – Old Market Tavern – delivered by Sian Aldridge, Deputy Director of Operations at The Wallich – to raise concerns and address questions about how to engage with people on the streets, how to understand the complexities of people who are sleeping rough and quiz up on the frontline services that are available in the city. There will also be a short session with Wallich Peers; staff who have lived experience of homelessness who proactively utilise their experiences to help people who are homeless or rough sleeping.

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, please RSVP via this link to reserve your space.
