Longstanding members of the Glasgow music scene, having moved there from Edinburgh just after forming, We Were Promised Jetpacks celebrated 10 years of their classic album These Four Walls in 2019, via a humongous North America and Europe tour. Beloved thanks to its crunchy guitar work, fierce college rock hooks and strident, strong-accented vocals, it’s an album that only acts as a starting point for a range of material through the years, on FatCat and Big Scary Monsters, tackling knotty emotions in sing-it-out-loud style.
