At FOR Cardiff, we recognise the importance of Welsh language and are committed to supporting and encouraging its use wherever possible. As the business improvement district for the capital city, we understand that we have an important role to play and our ESG strategy, aligned with the goals of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, makes a commit to provide key documentation bilingually.
We regularly review our approach to Welsh language communications to ensure it remains appropriate and proportionate for our organisation and stakeholders. As part of our most recent member survey, we consulted levy payers on their satisfaction with our current Welsh language provision. Feedback indicated that our existing approach continues to meet expectations, including the provision of key legal documents and selected public-facing campaigns in both Welsh and English.
FOR Cardiff is an independent, non-public sector organisation and is therefore not subject to Welsh language statutory standards. As a small team without dedicated in-house Welsh language resource, we aim to provide Welsh language content where possible and practical within our available resources, and we will continue to review opportunities to strengthen our Welsh language offering over time.
