GOAN DOGS play warped guitar pop. A decade on the scene, their stunning live shows and self-released material have gained them a loyal following on the ground and on the airwaves with repeat plays and support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, XFM and Amazing Radio. Now the Bristol five-piece are ready to release their long-awaited debut LP – CALL YOUR MUM. GOAN DOGS was conceived in 2010 by lead singer Luke St Leger and drummer Daniel Lane. A coming-of-age misadventure in India gave the band its name when Luke ended up spending most of his time with Goa’s stray beach dogs. The fledgling duo soon expanded their sound with the talents of friends and fellow musicians: Theo Mackie, Bill Sherwood and Sam Kynan Powell. After 10 years of musical evolution their debut album sits firmly in a warped atmosphere of dark synth/guitar pop. It’s the perfect accompaniment and the perfect message for these strange times – CALL YOUR MUM.
