Cardiff Castle are running a series of events to help entertain the little ones over half term.

Tropical Encounters – Monday 25th February
Come and meet a range of amazing animals from the tropical rain forest of the Amazon to the African Kalahari desert for a chance to learn about their behaviour and habitats.

Warrior School – Wednesday 27th February

Learn how to sword fight with Sir Jay and Sir Lewis from the Warwick Warriors and become a fully-fledged knight. Held indoors in the atmospheric 15th century Undercroft and ending in a knighting ceremony. Tickets for this event cover the workshop and access to the Castle grounds including the Keep, Wartime Tunnels and Battlement Walk. Suitable for ages 5-16 years.

Shield Decorating Workshop – Friday 1st March
Design your own coat-of-arms and decorate a wooden shield to take away with you. Held in the Education Centre, these workshops will give an opportunity to create a unique and personal work of art to take home. Why not celebrate St David’s Day with a special Welsh-themed shield?
