City Ambition Fund

The City Ambition fund is an opportunity for people, businesses, and organisations, who have an idea that aligns with FOR Cardiff’s aims to access funding and see their projects come to life.

The fund was developed as a new project for our second term after we received feedback during a consultation that levy payers wanted to see a more transparent and strategic allocation of our external funding.

This year, we are looking to fund ideas that have an environmental or sustainable focus. From adding greenery in an office to help with biodiversity to bike storage solutions that promote active travel; we want to hear from projects that benefit the city centre while addressing some of the challenges of the environmental and nature crises.

Download the City Ambition Fund application form here. Please read the full Terms and Conditions here before applying.

Welsh copy of the form can be found here.

Application forms will need to be completed by 7th July 2025.

“We planted our garden with the help of the City Ambition Fund. We were desperate to make a contribution to the beauty and biodiversity of the city. Now our once ugly bin store is a beautiful garden, and we couldn’t have done that without the support of the City Ambition Fund.” – Porter’s Cardiff
