The Cleansing Team

FOR Cardiff fund a Cleansing Team to jet-wash, remove gum and remove graffiti across Cardiff city centre.

We believe that the look and feel of a location is critical to customer experience, appeal, and economic success. That’s why our Cleansing Team undertake work that is over and above Cardiff Council’s cleansing provision.

We also offer a call-out service for member businesses. Businesses can call upon us to deep clean private property and remove any unwanted items or debris that have been left outside premises.

Cleansing is one of our most popular projects with 74% of our businesses rating it as excellent in 2021.

How to Request Cleansing for your Business

If you are a member business that pays an annual levy to FOR Cardiff, you can request cleansing of outside areas in Cardiff city centre by contacting us. Our offices are open Monday – Friday 9am-5pm and you can reach us by calling 029 20 314 770 or emailing info@forcardiff.com. Please include your business name and details of the cleansing needed.

How to Request Graffiti Removal for your Business

If you are a member business that pays an annual levy to FOR Cardiff, you can request graffiti removal for your premises.

To reduce graffiti in Cardiff city centre long-term, we are asking our businesses to report the graffiti as a crime before contacting FOR Cardiff to remove it. You can report graffiti by emailing South Wales Police’s 101 service Swp101@south-wales.police.uk.

South Wales Police have a specific Crime Reference Number for instances of graffiti, so when emailing please include this on all correspondence. The Crime Reference Number is 2200241369.

Please explain where the graffiti is located and include pictures where possible.

The email sent could look something like this.

Businesses will need to demonstrate that the reporting has been completed before FOR Cardiff can task our Cleansing Team to remove it. Please contact us by calling 02920314770 or emailing info@forcardiff.com. Our offices are open Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.

If graffiti contains offensive language/imagery we will make it a matter of priority to remove it quickly.
