Get Ready to Roar with Excitement: BRICKLIVE Dino Discovery Trail Takes Over Cardiff This Easter

Get ready to channel your inner palaeontologist as a herd of 15 dinosaurs, built using half a million toy bricks, is descending on Cardiff city centre this Easter.

Among the enormous prehistoric creatures arriving at St David’s Dewi Sant Cardiff from 3-16 April 2023 are a 7ft tall Parasaurolophus made from 113,625 bricks and a 12ft long Velociraptor with 46,352 bricks.

The free BRICKLIVE Dino Discovery trail – an ideal choice for families with children aged 4-12, offers a captivating interactive experience, allowing visitors to get an up-close view of dinosaurs while learning fascinating facts about them.

The exhibits, presented and built by BRICKLIVE, took a team of 20 designers and master builders over 3000 hours to create, one brick at a time. The result is a breath-taking display of colourful dinosaurs that is sure to amaze and inspire visitors of all ages.

Carolyn Brownell, Associate Director of FOR Cardiff, said;

“We are thrilled to bring the BRICKLIVE Dino Discovery trail to Cardiff this Easter, the perfect activity for families looking for a fun and educational experience during the holidays, as part of our remit to ensure Cardiff is a destination city.

“Families around the world have loved this experience, and we’re expecting thousands of people to come to Cardiff to enjoy the free trail on offer. With half a million toy bricks used to create the exhibits, visitors are sure to be amazed by the incredible detail of the dinosaurs.”

The free Dino Discovery trail toy brick model trail presented by BRICKLIVE will take place from Monday 3 April until Sunday 16 April, inside St David’s Cardiff. Trail maps will be available at St David’s shopping centre guest services desk.

Helen Morgan, Centre Director of St David’s Cardiff, commented:

“We can’t wait to see these prehistoric visitors take over St David’s as part of the free Dino Discovery trail. With half a million bricks and thousands of hours taken to create them, these impressive dinosaurs will be a real treat for trailfinders to hunt out and enjoy during the Easter holidays.”
