#ChristmasAtCardiff Campaign Supports Businesses over the Festive Period

On 25th November 2020, FOR Cardiff launched their #ChristmasAtCardiff campaign to showcase Cardiff businesses over the festive period and encourage the public to shop local to support Cardiff.

Over 50 levy payers were promoted through the campaign; generating a reach of over 350,000 with over 17,000 engagements.

As part of the campaign, FOR Cardiff created a series of videos showcasing Cardiff businesses at Christmas, worked with 15 local influencers and ran a competition on Instagram to win a FOR Cardiff gift card.

The #ChristmasAtCardiff video series showcases five Cardiff businesses at Christmas from Cardiff’s famous indoor market to independent restaurant Asador 44.

The videos encourage the public discover new places to eat, drink and shop in Cardiff over the festive period.

The videos also aim to give the public confidence to visit Cardiff by showing the COVID-19 safety measures that businesses have put in place.

FOR Cardiff also worked with 15 local Instagram influencers to promote Cardiff businesses and encourage their audience to support their city. 47 levy payers were promoted through Instagram posts, stories, reels and blogs.

Local influencers also encouraged the public to support their favourite shops, cafes, bars and restaurants by sharing pictures on Instagram with the hashtag #ChristmasAtCardiff for a chance to win a FOR Cardiff gift card.

Over 100 people entered the competition by sharing pictures and videos of themselves enjoying Christmas in Cardiff.
