FOR Cardiff to Bid Farewell to Adrian Field, Executive Director

After 6 years as Executive Director, FOR Cardiff will soon be bidding farewell to Adrian Field who is leaving to take up a new role running a Shopping Centre in his home county of Worcestershire.

Since joining FOR Cardiff in 2017, Adrian has been a central figure in the development of FOR Cardiff, Cardiff city centre’s first Business Improvement District and the 6th biggest Business Improvement District in the UK.

Adrian successfully led FOR Cardiff through its first renewal ballot in 2021, achieving an impressive result during a challenging climate with 91% of businesses voting yes by number and 94% yes by rateable value.

Adrian Field says:

I have loved my time at FOR Cardiff and will miss the variety that it brings. The opportunity to be involved in projects and work including events, marketing, HR, finance, highways, planning, legal, economic development, strategy…the list goes on is what makes it such an interesting role.

The level of support afforded to me by the Board, colleagues and businesses has been brilliant and I leave FOR Cardiff in a good place and ready to help deal with the challenges we all face at the moment.

Adrian’s last day at FOR Cardiff will be 6th April 2023 but he hopes to remain involved in the BID industry, potentially serving on the Board of Directors of Redditch BID.

Due to Adrian’s departure, FOR Cardiff is recruiting a Chief Executive to led the Business Improvement District.

Heading a team of 14 and representing the needs of over 1,000 city centre businesses, the role will be to strategically lead the delivery of the projects in our five year Business Plan.

This is a wonderful opportunity for those currently in senior roles in placemaking or similar to make a real difference in a vibrant, fast growing, resilient city.

The deadline for applications is 11pm on Wednesday 22nd February. Please click here to find out more and apply.
