FOR Cardiff is dedicated to making Cardiff city centre a safe, welcoming and inclusive place to live, work, and visit.
We work closely with businesses, South Wales Police, universities and other partners to deliver a wide range of safety initiatives and campaigns that support residents, visitors, workers and students, particularly within the evening and night-time economy.
This includes our annual Freshers campaigns, designed to help students integrate into the city safely and confidently, alongside support for the Cardiff Safety Bus, which provide welfare assistance and help vulnerable people safely get home after nights out. We also provide initiatives including taxi marshals, business crime reduction partnerships and the Safe Places scheme, creating a connected network of support across the city centre. FOR Cardiff has also championed important awareness campaigns including a Cardiff-specific bilingual Ask Angela campaign and the launch of our Women’s Safety Charter, helping businesses create safer environments for staff and customers alike. Find out more.
